November 5, 2018: Color The World Orange™ for CRPS/RSD Awareness

Let’s show the world that while we are in pain, we are strong!

Color The World Orange™ is an annual global event held the first Monday of November to spread awareness of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), also known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD).

Although the healing effect of music dates back to Aristotle and Plato, the concept of Music Therapy as a discipline was not developed until the mid-20th century, beginning with the World Wars, when musicians visited hospitals to help ease veterans’ physical and emotional trauma.

Dreams Fulfilled Through Music’s programming provides opportunities for persons living with chronic pain to not only listen to music, but to become active participants in making their own music. By presenting this special concert to highlight awareness of the importance of music in the lives of all who experience (chronic) pain, it is our hope to inspire many who may not know that they too, can learn to play a musical instrument and enjoy many healing benefits in the process.

We invite you to attend this special concert and wear ORANGE to help us spread the word about the healing power of music and the very poorly understood condition of CRPS (Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome.)

We largely rely on individuals gifts from generous donors. Are you willing to help make some dreams just a little bit brighter?
